This policy explains how EK SIM handles information when you use our website, mobile app and related account, purchase and connectivity services. EK SIM is operated by AETHER CONNECT PRIVATE LIMITED.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

AETHER CONNECT PRIVATE LIMITED operates EK SIM from the address listed at the end of this policy. You can contact care@aelixar.com for privacy questions, information requests or concerns about how your information is handled.

This policy covers EK SIM’s handling of information. A partner that sells you a plan, a payment provider, a sign-in provider or a connectivity operator may also handle information under its own privacy practices.

2. Account and sign-in information

We handle information you provide to register or manage an account, such as your name, email address, phone number, preferences and account security information. Our account records include password hashes where password sign-in is used, verification status and related security events.

If you choose Google sign-in where available, we receive the identity information needed to verify that sign-in, such as a Google account identifier, verified email and supplied profile name. This is separate from granting access to your Google inbox or other Google content. Google’s own privacy policy applies to Google’s processing.

3. Orders, payments and support information

We keep order and transaction records, including purchased plans, amounts, stored currencies, payment and fulfilment status, references and billing information supplied for the purchase. Payment providers handle information submitted in their payment interfaces according to their own terms and privacy policies.

When you contact support or ask about a refund, we handle your messages, order references and relevant information or screenshots you provide. Do not send passwords, email confirmation codes, complete card details or payment security codes by email.

4. SIM and connectivity information

To prepare and manage the service, we handle SIM identifiers, plan assignments, installation credentials, provider references, activation status and available usage, validity and expiry information. Some of this information is supplied by connectivity providers.

Usage and status information may not be available immediately or for every plan. Connectivity operators’ own handling of network information is subject to their applicable practices and obligations.

5. Identity documents and verification

Where the purchase workflow requires identity verification, we handle documents and details submitted for that purpose. Depending on the requested documents, these may include passport or visa information and images, travel documents and a supplied travel date. Review reasons and verification decisions are also recorded.

This information is used to review eligibility, meet applicable verification requirements and manage activation. Submit documents through the designated account workflow. Do not assume that deleting your account automatically deletes these records.

6. Purchase-country and technical information

We may use the IP address associated with a request and an IP-geolocation service to estimate the country from which a purchase is made. This is an approximate purchase-country signal, not a promise of precise physical location. A destination selected for a plan is not proof of where the purchase took place. Unknown or disputed purchase locations may require review.

Technical and security records may include request timestamps, IP addresses, device or browser information, platform, installed app version/build, errors and service events. The app sends its platform and installed release details when checking for optional or required updates. These records support operation, troubleshooting and security.

7. Why we use information

We use information for the purposes connected with your interaction with EK SIM and as permitted by applicable law. Depending on the activity and law that applies, processing may relate to performing a purchase or service agreement, meeting a legal obligation, consent you give, or legitimate operational and security interests.

  • Create and secure accounts, verify sign-ins and prevent unauthorised access.
  • Provide purchases, payment reconciliation, eSIM preparation, verification, activation and support.
  • Show order, SIM, usage and installation information in your account.
  • Handle enquiries, complaints and case-by-case refund requests.
  • Maintain technical services, investigate faults and address misuse or fraud.
  • Record marketing choices and send optional marketing where you have chosen to receive it.
  • Respond to lawful requests and meet applicable obligations.

8. Service providers, partners and disclosures

Information needed to deliver the service may be handled by connectivity providers, payment processors, email and other communication providers, hosting or storage providers, sign-in providers and IP-geolocation services. A seller or partner associated with your purchase may receive information needed to administer or support that purchase.

We may disclose information where required by applicable law or necessary to address a security incident, fraud or a legal claim. Different providers may process information in different countries; this policy does not promise a particular hosting location or data-residency arrangement. Applicable requirements for such processing continue to apply.

External websites and provider services have their own privacy practices. Review their policies when using their services.

9. Cookies and storage on your device

The website uses cookies and browser storage for account sessions, customer presentation information, currency choices and checkout continuity. The app uses device storage for sessions, preferences and purchase recovery. These help keep you signed in, retain a selection or recover an unfinished checkout.

You can clear browser cookies or site storage using your browser controls. Doing so may sign you out or remove saved preferences and checkout recovery. Signing out or clearing device data does not erase the backend records described in this policy. The Delete account workflow clears local session and checkout information after confirmation, while backend records remain retained.

Third-party sign-in and payment interfaces may use their own storage.

10. Marketing choices and service messages

Marketing email is optional. You can choose whether to receive it during the available account workflows, change your preference in Profile or use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. Leaving a marketing option unchecked at sign-in does not itself change a previously saved subscription.

Account verification, security, purchase and service messages are separate from marketing preferences. The current account-deletion workflow retains consent records, but deleted accounts are excluded from marketing eligibility.

11. Retention and account deletion

The current Delete account feature marks your account deleted and ends access. All backend records remain retained, including identity, email, credentials, profile, consent, KYC, order, payment, SIM, provider and related identity-link records. The retained email address cannot be used to register another account.

Marking an account deleted does not automatically erase or anonymise these records, and the feature does not provide a permanent-erasure or account-restoration workflow. It also does not automatically cancel, deactivate or refund existing eSIMs or orders. We do not promise a fixed deletion date through this feature.

If you wish to make a separate request about your personal information, contact care@aelixar.com. We will review the request in accordance with applicable law. This contact route must not be understood as a claim that account deletion already erases associated data.

12. Security, rights and enquiries

We use access controls, authentication and other technical measures to protect information. No system or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep credentials private and contact us if you suspect unauthorised use.

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights relating to access, correction, objection, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, erasure or complaints to an appropriate authority. Contact us to make a request or raise a concern. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity and understand the request; applicable legal requirements and exceptions determine the response.

Services are intended for people who can lawfully use and purchase them. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied information inappropriately. We do not claim an automatic deletion process for such reports.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or information-handling practices change. The last-updated date identifies the published version. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where applicable law requires it.

14. Privacy contact

Send privacy enquiries or requests to the contact below. Include enough information to identify the relevant account or interaction, but do not email passwords, confirmation codes or unnecessary identity-document copies.
